Dr.PuLongKong is a Chrome extension for audio transcription, translation, and subtitle generation. The extension only processes user data to provide these features.

Data Processed

The extension may process audio files, microphone recordings, tab audio recordings, transcription text, translation text, subtitle text, Groq API keys, user settings, theme preferences, and local transcription history.

How Data Is Used

Audio and text are used to provide transcription, translation, subtitle generation, and related AI processing features. Groq API keys are used only to authenticate user-requested API calls.

Third-Party Processing

When the user starts transcription, translation, API key validation, or related AI processing, the extension sends the required audio, text, and API key to Groq API services over HTTPS. The extension uses https://api.groq.com/* for these features.

Local Storage

The extension stores API keys, settings, theme preferences, and transcription history in the user's browser storage. This data is stored to keep the extension working between sessions.

Data Sharing and Sale

The extension does not sell user data. User data is not transferred to third parties except as needed to provide the requested transcription, translation, API validation, and AI processing features through Groq API services.

User Control

Users can remove API keys and clear stored data from the extension interface or through Chrome browser storage controls. Users can avoid sending audio or text to Groq by not starting transcription, translation, or AI processing actions.

Security

The extension transmits data to Groq API services using HTTPS.
